The two cutest dinosaurs in the world
We celebrated Caleb's third birthday last week with a train cake (same as last year, by his request) and tacos for dinner (also by request). Sorry about the lack of good pictures of Caleb--he's in a bit of an anti-camera phase.
Caleb got to live one of his dreams at the end of June: taking a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.
On June 20, we officially became a family of four when Lucy's adoption was finalized.
On June 22 we gathered with family and friends to welcome Lucy into the community of faith at her dedication. It was a wonderful morning.
Caleb joined our capitalist system on May 17 when he spent his OWN money on an all-important matchbox car.
Friday was the annual carnival at the school where Heather's mom teaches. Caleb was much more successful at the games this year than last year!
We went to AgFest (Agricultural Festival) on Saturday--the local kid-friendly celebration of all things farm-related. Caleb's favorite parts were seeing the huge pieces of farm equipment and collecting stickers to put on his shirt.
Lucy has been very generous with her smiles lately.
Hey L.A. friends: Heather's brother is playing a show at The Derby in Hollywood this week on Friday the 28st. It'll be an acoustic show with Trevor on the piano and his friend Hayley doing some guitar, vocals, and stuff. The music is from his piano-indie-pop band The Lost Tricks. They're good! You can use print out the flier on the left to get in for $10 (and there's an open bar, so your evening is more or less free in the end). You should go!
