Legos this time
Caleb has been building up a storm lately!
We headed out to ride the carousel and chat with Santa last weekend. Lucy was unimpressed, although she liked the jingle bell Santa gave her. Caleb had a nice talk with him and asked for blue socks. That's it. Just blue socks.
Caleb celebrated his birthday FOUR times last week--with daycare friends and local family on Wednesday, preschool on Thursday, and friends on Saturday. Lucky kid! He decided on a racecar theme, because there is nothing more exciting right now than the Disney cars movie and crashing matchbox cars.
Today was Caleb's first day of preschool! He was very confident and excited. He reported that they played with diggers in the sandbox, had yogurt/strawberries/granola for snack, painted with cars, and read a story in circle time. In other words, a great Caleb day.
Sorry it's been so long since we posted photos! It's been a fun summer. We've been spending a lot of time in the backyard. Heather's dad built a great sandbox and Tom put together a swing set. Both kids can't get enough of the sand, and Caleb loves to be on the swings (we've got some tired arms from pushing). (Photos from 8/28)
Caleb 'ran' in the annual Awesome 3000, a local tradition for school kids. It's a 3000m race for the big kids, but 300m for the little ones. :)
We went down to the State Capitol this weekend to enjoy the warm weather and the cherry blossoms.
